PUNTA GORDA, Fla. -- A Charlotte County corrections officer is accused of trying to smuggle nine cellphones into prison.

According to a Charlotte County Sheriff's Office report, 25-year-old Sergeant Jasmin Cuyler set off the metal detector Wednesday morning.

A Liutenant discovered something large in her groin area, and Cuyler reportedly stated "that my pads."

Cuyler was taken to a room, where she continued to claim she was wearing a pad because of her period. However a metal detecting wand indicated something made of metal in that region.

Cuyler consented to a search, and the Lieutenant had her remove her pants, which revealed she was wearing spandex shorts over her underwear, with a "large object protruding from her pants."

Inside were two plastic bags containing two LG cell phones with batteries, three Soyes mini cell phones with batteries, four LBSTAR cell phones, two sim cards, and two power cords.

Cuyler was arrested and taken to jail without incident.

She's facing nine charges of Introduction of Cell Phone into State Corrections Institute.
