NAPLES, Fla. --- A woman charged in the 2014 death of her live in boyfriend started trial in a Collier County courtroom Monday.
Lisa Troemner is facing 2nd degree murder charges in the stabbing death of her boyfriend Trevor Smith on December 2nd, 2014.
According to prosecutors, Troemner stabbed Smith in the neck after an argument in their Marco Island apartment. She walked to a 7-11 convenience store on Bald Eagle drive covered in blood.
Investigators say she confessed to the clerk that she stabbed her boyfriend in the neck.
Troemner was evaluated by doctors before the trial started.
