COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- Collier County commissioners won't be raising your property taxes this year to buy preservation land.
Instead, the county will ask to decide on a referendum next year.
The county is moving forward with a vote that could revive a special tax that would fund a conservation program.
They want to collect about $20 million a year. Many people, including state leaders were against raising your property taxes to do it.
