A Collier County teacher was arrested for DUI in Golden Gate on Saturday.

The Collier County Sheriff's Office said April Jones, 34, was driving down Immokalee Road near Woodcrest Drive at 3:37 AM. Deputies said she was going 70 MPH in a 50 MPH zone.

When a deputy pulled her over, he reported she smelled strongly of alcohol and her speech was slurred and her eyes were glossy.

Her arrest report said her husband was passed out in the back seat with his pants down, and part of Jones' chest was exposed.

Jones said she was driving home from the casino, but deputies determined her story didn't match up.

Deputies said she's a teacher within the Collier County School District.

She refused a breathalyzer test and was charged with DUI.
