Collier County Sheriff apprehends suspect stuck in mud

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A Collier County Deputy apprehended a suspect who ditched a possible stolen vehicle in Golden Gate Estates.

Corporal Matt Vaill was on patrol when a suspect ditched a vehicle and ran into a wooded area.

The suspect then ran into a construction area where he got stuck in 3-4 feet of mud.

CPL Vaill had to jump in the mud to get the suspect out. He placed the suspect under arrest.

He was charged with resisting arrest and failure to appear on a warrant.
