NAPLES, Fla.-- Collier County deputies rescued a driver who crashed into lake after driving erratically.
The Collier County Sheriff's Office says it happened just before midnight on Sunday night at the intersection of Golden Gate and Collier Boulevards.
Deputies say they received calls about a van driving recklessly. Crews on the ground and in the air searched for the van.
The aviation unit saw the van jump the curb, hit a culvert and flip over into the lake. Deputies jumped into the water and broke the window of the van, which was completely submerged and pulled the driver out.
The driver was unconscious and not breathing. Deputies immediately began CPR on the driver who was then taken to the hospital.
Florida Highway Patrol is now investigating this crash.
