COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – Long-time Collier County Clerk of Courts Dwight Brock has died.
Brock had served as the clerk of courts since 1993 and died while awaiting a lung transplant. He was known as an aggressive watchdog of county spending.
He was also a prosecutor.
Brock was 64 years old.
Florida Governor Rick Scott will appoint an interim officer to hold the position until a new clerk is voted in in the November General Election.
