COLLIER COUNTY — A new proposal to make Collier County a "Bill of Rights sanctuary county" is off the table. The Collier Board of County Commissioners voted the motion down at yesterday's meeting. Three board members voted against the motion, while two voted for it.
The Bill of Rights sanctuary county designation basically means the county would recognize the constitution above any laws imposed by administrations that the county leaders felt contradicted constitutional rights.
