FORT MYERS, Fla — The Clips for Cancer fundraising event was able to raise $170,000 for Barbara’s Friends.
Barbara's Friends is a cancer fund for Golisano Children's Hospital.
The 25th event was virtual this year and allowed local childhood cancer survivors to shave their heads to raise awareness and support Barbara’s Friends.
Organizers were also able to spread awareness about the challenges of childhood cancer.
All proceeds will provide equipment, staffing, and services to support lifesaving cancer care for children in our region at Golisano Children’s Hospital.
