Child dies after being shocked in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Police have confirmed an 8-year-old boy has died after a medical emergency in a Fort Myers home Wednesday afternoon.
According to Fort Myers Police, Caleb Zedaker passed away at Golisano Children's Hospital early Thursday.
Officers responded to a home in the 2300 block of Lane Avenue at 4:25pm Wednesday and
found the child
after he reportedly was shocked by an electrical outlet.
He was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital before being transferred to Golisano.
The Fort Myers Police Department continues to investigate the accident and working with the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine a cause of death.
