PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. — The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office is seeking information on the location of Jonathan J. Baker, 37.

Baker is wanted for the theft of jewelry on August 25th, which occurred during a meet-up stemming from a transaction on the re-sale app Letgo.

The victim listed a wedding ring set on the app and later arranged Baker at Wendy's restaurant in Port Charlotte.

Baker took the rings to examine them, later fleeing the scene with them when the victim went into her vehicle for a pen and paper.
The victim immediately called the Sheriff's Office and described the suspect.

A check of pawn shops in the area showed a record of Jonathan Baker pawning a ring in North Fort Myers.

The victim was contacted, and investigators were able to determine that it was the victim's stolen ring positively. The victim also identified Jonathan Baker in a photo lineup.

There is an active warrant for Jonathan Brown's arrest on the charges for the charge of Grand Theft.

Jonathan drives a red Jeep Liberty.
