Collier County
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Collier County Branch is not hosting the celebration of the 24th Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade and Celebration, together.
"It is unfortunate that we will not be hosting this annual historical event on January 18, 2021, together. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our National Office of the NAACP has a mandate for all Branches, “No in-person gatherings”. Even though the activities are outdoors, we’re unable to guarantee social distancing and prevention of any infection".
We would love for all people of Collier County to remember Dr. King’s dream and renew our commitment to bringing forth positive change throughout our nation.
We look forward to planning and organizing for January 17, 2022 with our vision to educate, promote and remember King’s legacy of inclusion and celebrate diversity and solidarity as we come together as a community.
