COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — Collier County Sheriff's Office has launched an investigation after finding remains in a wooded area.
CCSO was contacted Friday evening regarding remains found near Napa Boulevard and Pine Ridge Road.
Investigators confirmed Saturday morning that the remains are human, and they are currently conducting an ongoing death investigation.
Deputies said more information will be available after a medical examiner completes an investigation.
