COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- An employee at a carpet cleaner has been charged with Grand Theft and Dealing in Stolen Property after being accused of stealing an expensive watch from a customer.

21-year-old Jonah Alvarado was arrested at work by Collier County deputies on Tuesday and released on bond.

According to a sheriff's office arrest report, the victim says on December 24th, two employees from Stanley Steamer arrived at her house in the Forest Park community on Recreation Lane off Santa Barbara Boulevard.

After completing the work, the victim received an invoice and the men left. The victim later noticed that a watch valued at $15,000 had gone missing from her bedroom.

The watch was later tracked down at Pine Ridge Pawn via a serial number search. Records showed that one of the workers, Alvarado, had pawned the watch there about 30 minutes after leaving the house.

He later admitted to deputies that he stole the watch and pawned it.
