MARCO ISLAND, Fla — A Marco Island man is recounting a horrifying incident that happened to him at his condominium Tuesday night.

The victim, who did not want to be identified, said it all started when he dropped off his wife at the front entrance to the Crescent Beach condominium.

He was he parking his car in the garage when the suspects ambushed him.

"I'm starting to walked back in the driveway and all of a sudden, I sense something behind me, I turn around and there were these two guys running full bore right at me, dressed totally in black."

The victim said the suspects yelled "police" at him then threw him to the ground, before speeding.

"Tore off a necklace I had, took my wallet, keys to the vehicle, they took off like a bullet, and I heard them screeching out."

Investigators say Jermaine Fyffe of Ft. Lauderdale, and Shomayo Morgan of Boynton Beach, drove the victim's Audi off the island and down Collier Boulevard at speeds reaching 127 miles per hour.

They eventually crashed the victim's car into the entrance of the Forest Glen country club, on Collier Boulevard just south of I-75

Deputies apprehended them after a foot chase. One of the suspects was bitten by a K-9 and suffered a self-inflicted gun shot wound.

Fyffe and Morgan were taken to the Collier County jail.
