PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- A submerged vehicle spotted in a Port Charlotte lake Tuesday turned out to be a vehicle stolen years ago.
According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, their Aviation Unit was on regular patrol Tuesday when they spotted something in Lake Betty.
The vehicle was removed from the water and determined to be a car reported stolen in 2014.
Investigators are trying to determined how the car got there.
