Car crash on U.S. 41 closes bridge over Caloosahatchee River

UPDATE (9:45AM) -- Police say the U.S. 41/Caloosahatchee Bridge has been reopened to traffic.

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A singe-car crash is causing traffic issues in North Fort Myers for drivers looking to cross the Caloosahatchee River.

According to Fort Myers Police, the crash is on the southbound side of the U.S. 41/Caloosahatchee bridge, on the North Fort Myers side.

All traffic heading towards Fort Myers on the bridge has been shut down.

Drivers should seek alternate routes across the river.

No injuries are reported.
