NAPLES, Fla. --- Two people are seriously injured after a car crash causes one car to go up in flames. The incident happened on US-41 and Whistlers Cove Boulevard at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol press release, Brian Belony,18, along with another passenger were in the left turning lane traveling east on State Road 90 when the car Belony was driving collided with a Jeep Wrangler.
The driver of the Jeep Wrangler, Andre Bandeira, and two other passengers struck a pedestrian traffic signal and a guardrail before the car overturned and caught on fire.
Belony was taken to Naples Community Hospital with serious injuries. Both the driver and two passengers of the Jeep Wrangler were also taken to Naples Community Hospital and treated for injuries.
There are no pending charges at this time.
