CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Cape Coral Police detectives want to talk to a man who told a store clerk he wanted to get drunk and kill his former coworkers.

On July 17, 2017, at around 8:00 PM, Cape Coral Police responded to Friendly Frankie’s Liquor Store located at 106 Hancock Bridge Pkwy W, on a suspicious person call.

An employee at this location stated an older white male in his 50s came into the store and bought a beverage.  While the unknown male was about to walk out of the store, he told the clerk that he intended on getting drunk tomorrow and killing everyone with whom he previously worked.

The subject did not state where he previously worked but stated it was because he was recently fired.  The male then left in an unknown direction of travel.  The male did not threaten the employee or the liquor store itself. The employee did not see how the male left the area and was unsure if it was on foot or by vehicle.

Officers searched the area for the man who was wearing a tropical design, button down shirt but was unable to locate anyone matching this description. The male has brown/gray hair with a gray beard and wears eye glasses.

While not a specific threat, Cape Coral Police Detectives want to identify and speak to this man.
