A Cape Coral tow truck operator is dead after being hit by a car, Friday night.
Cape Coral Police officers responded to the scene of a serious injury crash at Pine Island Road and Pondella Road, shortly after 8 p.m. on Friday.
The victim, identified as Wes Dale, was towing a vehicle when a malfunction occurred causing the vehicle to roll on top of him, according to loved ones.
Wes died from his injuries Saturday morning.
Those who knew Wes tell us he always had a smile on his face and describe him as someone who would give the shirt off his back to someone in need.
