CAPE CORAL, Fla. — A career criminal is behind bars again, this time for stealing a truck and trailer at a Cape Coral gas station on Monday morning.

Police say 29-year-old Joshua Forman hopped into a truck he found running at a speedway on the 1000 block of Del Prado boulevard.

Forman is no stranger to local law enforcement, over the last decade he's been arrested at least nine times and one of the arrests is for a previous theft in 2011.

Cape coral police were able to return the trailer and truck to the owner of a local landscaping company, Joe Blows.

Fox 4 caught up with the employee who had those items stolen from him, he says grateful doesn't begin to describe how he feels.

"We got everything back, we got the truck back, the trailer and all the equipment inside, which is unbelievable. I didn't think we were gonna get it back, said Joseph Lussier.

Forman had his first appearance on Tuesday morning.

He's due back in court on January 13, 2020.
