Cape Coral Police seeking volunteers for new "Fun Mobile" van

CAPE CORAL, Fla. --- The Cape Coral Police Department is partnering with the Police Athletic League to create a new "Fun Mobile" Mobile Recreation Unit. 

The "Fun Mobile" Mobile Recreation Unit is a solar powered van that travels to parks and community events and is loaded with sports equipment that can be checked out, a PA system and mobile DJ for special events, and a mobile registration system to sign up for Parks and Rec programs. 

The "Fun Mobile" unit will be driven and operated by Parks and Recreation Staff, with assistance from Cape Coral Police Department Volunteers. 

The Cape Coral Police are looking for volunteers to make a difference in the lives of youth in Southwest Florida. 

Applicants must complete the Cape Coral Police Department Police Volunteer Unit application packet. Applicants will also be interviewed, fingerprinted and subject to a background check.
