Cape Coral police looking for info on suspicious vehicle

CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Police are asking for the public's help to gather information on a car that may have been on Pine Island Road on Monday.

They have confirmed to Fox 4 it is connected to the disappearance of Diane Ruiz and the death of Kristine Melton. They say it belonged to Melton.

According to Cape Coral Police, a black 2019 Nissan Versa 4-door car with no window tint is believed to have been traveling eastbound on Pine Island Road on October 7th, between 10:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.

It may have turned southbound on U.S. 41 or Old U.S. 41 to go to downtown Fort Myers.

The car pictured here is not the actual vehicle, but the same make and model.
