CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- The Cape Coral Police Department is hosting its first "HELP" event Thursday night.
HELP stands for Helping Educate Loving Parents.
It will cover ways to keep kids away from drugs and alcohol, as well as the dangers of substance abuse to the body and brain.
Lee County Coalition for a Drug-Free Southwest Florida will be there, along with MADD of Southwest Florida and Saluscare.
The event is Thursday, June 27th. It starts at 6 p.m. at the Cape Coral Police Department.
Parents, school counselors, and anyone who wants to learn more about substance abuse behaviors is invited to attend.
