CAPE CORAL, Fla. --- Drivers can expect lane closure beginning on Monday due to crews working on a storm water pipeline.
The outermost eastbound lane of Cape Coral Parkway East will be closed beginning at 9 a.m. The storm water pipe between the Rubicon Canal and Bimini Basin is being cleaned out due to blockage.
The cleaning project is expected to last for two weeks each day beginning at 9 a.m. following the peak of morning rush hour traffic and will reopen each evening after the workday is finished. The remaining two eastbound lanes of Cape Coral Parkway will remain open.
Detours will be in place to guide drivers. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time as the project could cause delays.
