CAPE CORAL, Fla. – A Cape Coral Police officer now knows her sentence for driving into a home while drinking off duty.
The internal investigation now begins this morning on Emily Zyvoloski.
The incident last year on Nicholas Parkway resulted in her now having to pay $1488 in fines and court costs, serve a year of probation, go to DUI school and use an ignition interlock device in her car for six months.
In the early morning hours of 2 a.m. of December 3rd, Zyvoloski's vehicle crashed into a home in the 400 block of Nicholas Parkway. A police report revealed she had a BAC over three times the legal limit at the time.
At last word from the department, she's on administrative leave.
