CAPE CORAL, Fla — A Cape Coral man was sentenced to 19 years in Prison for Child Pornography on Wednesday.
The State Attorney's Office says 69-year-old Robert Burkey was sentenced for 58 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
The former family care physician was also designated as a Sexual Offender for life.
Burkey was found guilty back in March.
Investigators say he was printing photos of pre-pubescent girls at a Fort Myers drug store.
An employee called law enforcement because they thought Burkey was acting odd.
Investigators say a few days later, Burkey returned to the same store and printed more photos.
He was identified through his store discount card, and a search warrant was executed.
Investigators found illegal material involving children in his home.
Burkey is ordered to stay away from children and will pay fines and court costs.
