FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A fire Wednesday morning in Tice left a small business severely damaged.
It happened around 6:45 a.m. at the Foam & Fizz Discount Grocery on Palm Beach Boulevard at Fairfax Road. Several fire crews responded to the fire and were still on the scene as of 8 a.m.
Fire officials tell Fox 4 that no one was inside the business when the fire broke out. They said the age of the building made it difficult to fight, because the building has been around a long time.
Crews say the structure was saved, but everything inside the store is a loss due to smoke and water damage.
Westbound lanes of Palm Beach Boulevard are down to one lane at the scene.
