When a burglar smashed through the front door of We Roll Tobacco Emporium in East Naples around 2:30 a.m. on Monday, surveillance cameras captured it on video.
Matthew Koenig says replacing the door will cost his family's business several thousand dollars, just so the thief could steal a water pipe and some e-liquids for vaping.
"We think he's a previous customer, just by the way he acted in the store, and what he took," Koenig said.
"If he really wanted the water pipe so bad, we could have given him a deal for it," Koenig added. "He didn't have to cause all that."
The thief appears to be over six feet tall and thin with thick eyebrows. But since he's wearing a mask, other details are sketchy.
"We just hope someone recognizes the parts of him and his build, and maybe help us figure out who it is and help the sheriff's department make an arrest," Koenig said.
He said the business will be better prepared to catch more details if there's a "next time."
"We're going to keep the lights on inside now," Koenig said. "That way, the cameras are a bit more effective."
Koenig said his family is offering $500 in store credit to anyone who leads police to the burglar's arrest.
