LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District said they have contained the brush fire.
Multiple agencies responded to the brush fire on Redmont Avenue and Windermere Drive this afternoon. All homes in the area were protected according to Lehigh Acres Fire.
According to the Florida Forest Service, the fire burned 1.5 acres.
Lee County implemented a burn ban this afternoon at their commissioners meeting due to the ultra dry conditions.
