CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Cape Coral Police Department is investigating a burglary and arson located at SW 33rd Terrace and 11th Avenue in Cape Coral.

He noticed the back window was smashed out and he came and got me, that’s when the police were called,” said Jeff Jones, a neighbor who lives next door. “I haven’t heard of something like this happening for many, many years. So yes, it’s out of the norm.”
No one was home at the time of the break-in, and police say the damage from the fire was not detrimental.
Some neighbors say they might have potentially seen a suspect walking around last night, but we’re still working to confirm this with police.
