LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Crews are looking for hot spots Thursday morning after an overnight house fire in Bonita Springs.
The battalion chief at the scene told the Fox 4 Breaking News Tracker that the mobile home was destroyed.
A neighbor was able to help the elderly woman who lived there get out safely, but her pet birds were killed and her dog is missing.
It happened on Duvernay Drive at the Imperial Bonita Estates community off Dean Street near Imperial Parkway.
The woman is staying with family now while the Red Cross helps her find a new home.
Investigators tell Fox 4 that a charger plugged into an outlet may have sparked the fire.
