Bonifay lottery clerk arrested after investigation

HOLMES COUNTY, Fla. - The Florida Lottery's Division of Security concluded an investigation that led to the arrest of a Florida Lottery retail clerk in Bonifay. 

James Durden was arrested and charged with counterfeiting and altering a lottery ticket, authorities said. 

The Florida Lottery said it strives to protect the integrity of our games so players and retailers alike can be confident in the games we provide to benefit Florida's students and schools.

The Division of Security is essential to ensuring the fairness of these games and works to identify, and take action against, any fraudulent activity involving our games, Florida Lottery said.
