CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Authorities have identified the man found dead in a pond last weekend as a city employee.
The body of 27-year-old Ryan Rogowski was found in a pond near Cape Coral Hospital on Sunday.
According to the City of Cape Coral, Rogowski was an employee in the Parks and Recreation Department.
“I am saddened by this tragic loss,” said City Manager John Szerlag. “Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends, including the many people he worked with here at the City of Cape Coral. We are working to support them however we can in this difficult time.”
The Cape Coral Police Department is conducting a death investigation.
The city says Ryan was not working at the time of his death.
