Big Brother Big Sister host "Chef Cooking for Kids" gala

FORT MYERS, Fla. --- The Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast hosted its "Chefs Cooking for kids," gala Thursday night to raise money for programs that match kids with Big Brothers and Big Sisters. 

"We're always in need of big brothers and big sisters, especially of males," said Aimee Mclaughlin, who works with Big Brothers Big Sisters. "A lot of little kids waiting, ages 6 to 18."

This years gala was held at the Sidney and Bernie Davis Arts Center in the Fort Myers River District. The event featured local chefs and restaurants who showcased their culinary specialties. 

Guests enjoyed delicious samples created by guest Chef de Cuisine and amazing live and silent auctions. Raffles valued over 5,000 will go to benefit the children in Lee County.
