COLLIER COUNTY, Fla — Florida Highway Patrol says a bear was hit and killed Wednesday morning in Collier County while it was crossing I-75.
It happened at Mile Marker 100 east of County Road 951.
Troopers say a box truck was driving west on the inside lane.
The driver hit the front portion of the bear with their truck.
Troopers say the bear was pronounced dead on the scene.
