COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- Authorities say they've recently received several reports of incidents in which victims were notified that their driver license was being renewed.

In these cases the victim had not requested any renewal or update.

The Collier County Sheriff's Office say that if you believe your driver license has been renewed without your consent, please report it immediately to the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles Fraud Section at fraud@flhsmv.gov or call 1-850-617-2405. You may also visit the following link at https://tinyurl.com/yxb8ke2e.

In addition, if you believe there was unauthorized access to your driver license via the “Go Renew” online feature, please report this to the FLHSMV’s Fraud Analysis Unit by e-mailing GoRenewSupport@FLHSMV.gov or call 1-850-617-2010.

While the FLHSMV is the leading agency to investigate these reports, CCSO also encourages you to file a report through us by calling their non-emergency line at 239-252-9300.
