FORT MYERS, Fla. --- Fort Myers Police Department arrested a man who they believe is behind a string of burglaries in Fort Myers.
Deputies say 42-year-old Tyrone Davis was at the Waterford Apartments on the 3500 block of Central Avenue when he was arrested.
When responding officers arrived at Davis' apartment he closed the door, locking himself and a female inside of the home and refused to come out.
The S.W.A.T team along with a K-9 unit and the Hostage Negotiator Team to assist with entry or surrender of Davis.
Both suspects were arrested abd charged with resisting an officer without violence. Davis was charged with Burglary, Grand Theft, Dealing in Stolen Property and Defrauding a Pawnbroker.
Fort Myers Police apprehended Davis and the female suspect without endangering other residents.
