BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. -- Investigators say two armed men used pepper spray to steal cash from a Bonita Springs 7-Eleven store early Thursday morning.

It happened at the store on Bonita Beach Road SE, just east of Interstate 75, around 4 a.m.

According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, the two suspects entered the store, displayed a firearm and demanded cash from the register.

When one of the clerks was unable to open the register, the suspects physically removed the drawers and pepper sprayed the two men on duty.  After disorienting the employees, the suspects left the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.  It is believed they may have headed in a southbound direction.

The suspects are both approximately 5’7”, 175 pounds and are in their mid to late 20s.

Anyone with information on the identities and whereabouts of the suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at or by submitting a tip on the P3Tips mobile app.
