ARCADIA, Fla. -- Troopers say an Arcadia man was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday evening.
Florida Highway Patrol said around 5 p.m. John Ray Skinner, 58, was traveling on Northeast Brownsville Road when he missed a curve in the road and lost control. Skinner was thrown from his bike near Northwest Williams Avenue and collided into a tree.
Skinner was taken to DeSoto Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No one is facing any charges in this case.
