The Animal Refuge Center’s 23rd Annual Starlight Auction will be held November 25th from 6 to 10pm at the Sanibel Harbor Marriott Resort & Spa. The auction is the center's largest fundraiser of the year. ARC is completely dependent on donations and grants for it’s million a year operating budget.
Tickets are $75 and sponsorships start at $250. There will be a dozen live items up for auction and close to 200 baskets are guests can bid on. The Animal Refuge Center is a 501c3 Non-Profit animal welfare society. The non-euthanasia organization is dedicated to caring for all homeless animals brought into it's care. As the largest no-kill shelter/sanctuary in SW Florida, ARC provides interim shelter and medical care to homeless, injured or abandoned animals. ARC places approximately 500 dogs and cats per year into responsible, loving homes through direct and indirect adoptions. ARC’s on-going mission is to provide community education as to the needs and care of animals, and public awareness regarding the importance of spaying and neutering their animal companions, with the ultimate result being the elimination of euthanasia.
