CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- You'll soon be able to get to a new destination in upper Michigan from Punta Gorda Airport.
Allegiant Airlines says starting on October 17th, you'll be able to hop a non-stop flight to Traverse City, Michigan.
The flights will operate twice a week, and introductory one-way fares will be as low as $69.
It's the airline's 41st route out of Punta Gorda, as well.
According to the company, more than 6,000 people in Michigan have second homes in Charlotte County.
