A 71-year-old woman was flown to a nearby hospital after she was bitten by a 10 feet alligator on Sunday, San Carlos Park Fire District said.

It happened just before 6 p.m. at the 1800 block of Cypress haven Dr. in the Shadow Wood Preserve.

Crews say when they arrived, they found the woman with injuries to her extremities from an alligator bite.
