FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. ---- A Fort Myers man is rescued by Coast Guards after suffering from symptoms of a heart attack on Thursday.
According to a press release, Alfredo Simon, 66, was rescued after Sector St. Petersburg watchstanders received a call reporting Simon was suffering from symptoms of a heart attack aboard a 90-foot fishing boat. A flight surgeon recommended Simon be medevaced.
Simon was taken back to shore where Fort Myers Beach Fire Department emergency medical services awaited. EMS transported him to Lee Memorial Hospital.
