NAPLES, Fla — A 6-year-old boy from Naples decided he wanted to donate his allowance to St. Matthew's House.
Charlie Riddell, with the help of his mother, Emily Riddell, was able to stop by the St. Matthew’s House Campbell Lodge shelter on Tuesday.
Charlie and his mom dropped off the money he had saved in his piggy bank.
They save he wanted to help the moms with children currently housed there.
Charlie donated $5, and his mom donated $45 to make it a total of $50.
Charlie is the youngest donor on record.
His mother says they are teaching their children the importance of being generous to others.
She also says they are teaching them money management skills.
Charlie is a kindergartner at The Village School Of Naples.
