CAPE CORAL,Fla-- The Cape Coral Caring Center has a lot to celebrate. The organization's annual Feed the Cape campaign has already met its $50,000 goal for the summer. However, they still need your help.
"It has been a tremendous campaign for us, it has allowed us to never have to turn people away and give people a nice amount of food during the summer months when they need to feed their kids," said executive dir. Julie Ferguson.
The donations will go to 13,000 local families to help feed kids who rely on free or reduced lunches from their schools during the school year.
"For the 5th year we are doing 50,000 lbs of food and $50,000 and I'm so happy to say we are already there, but please we still have a lot of summer left," said executive dir. Julie Ferguson.
