$3,000 reward offered after woman attacked during walk in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla. — FORT MYERS - Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers needs your help finding the man who attacked a woman while she was out for a walk.

The woman told a Lee County deputy she was walking along Equestrian Circle, near US 41 and Brantley Road, when a man came out of the woods and tried to drag her to his car. The woman fought back, refusing to get into the car.

She says the man threatened her, kept trying to touch her and eventually put his hands down her pants. Deputies say there was a sex crime. The woman finally broke free and ran to her home. She then called 911.

The victim in this case described the man as being approximately 28 years old, 6’0”, with a thin build, short dreadlocked hair and a thin mustache. He was driving a white sedan, possibly a Honda. It may have a zebra patterned steering wheel with pink trim.
