JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- Two boaters were rescued by the Coast Guard after their boat became stuck aground on Disappearing Island near Ponce Inlet.
Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville Command Center watchstanders received a call at 4 a.m. about a 19-foot pontoon boat being stranded for approximately 7 hours after the owner of the boat was unable to relaunch it.
The SPC-SW crew arrived on the scene, recovered the boaters and transported them to the station where they were met by family members.
No injuries were reported.
