CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — One man is dead, and at least two people are injured after a car crash near El Jobean Road and Tea Street, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Matthew Huffman, 56, was driving westbound on S.R. 776 approaching Tea Street when he struck a median. FHP said Huffman was ejected from the vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. FHP said three motorcycles and a small SUV were also involved. Two people were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
FHP said Huffman's family has been notified, and an investigation is underway.
