NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Deputies and K-9 units are searching for a "suspicious" person after a car crash in North Fort Myers Tuesday morning.
According to Lee County Sheriff's Office, a red Mustang crashed into a tree near the intersection of Lavonia Lane and Powell Drive.
That's where neighbors say they heard a boom and saw a guy in a white t-shirt running away.
Streets in the area were blocked off and a search was launched.
No word yet on whether the person was located.
